The Area

Forrabury church stands high above the cottages and backs onto Forrabury Stitches (National Trust). The stitches are one of the best surviving examples of a way of farming dating back to Medieval times. The land is divided into over 40 stitchmeal plots and is a method of crop rotation that dates back to Celtic times.

A fantastic way to explore the area is by taking a walk across the stitches and then following the coast path down to Boscastle harbour. Stop for refreshments in one of the numerous cafes, restaurants and pubs (including the famous Cobweb Inn) in the villages before making your way back up through the quaint, narrow, old village streets to your holiday cottage.

A meal and a drink in the Napoleon Inn (The Nap) is a perfect way to round off your day. The Nap has live music on throughout the year and most Tuesdays is home to the ‘Boscastle Buoys.’
