Only one and a half miles from Boscastle, Wideacres self -catering holiday bungalow at St Juliot has stunning, far reaching sea views.

It is particularly popular with families, not least because of the play area,slide and swings in the fenced garden.

Wideacres holiday accommodation includes:

  • A well-equipped kitchen with a built in electric oven and hob, microwave oven, automatic washing machine, refrigerator, toaster, iron and all necessary utensils
  • Lounge / Dining Room with sofa and armchairs, flat screen TV with ‘Freeview’ channels, dvd, cd player and Ipod dock, Cornish stone fireplace to burn logs/coal

There are amazing sea views from the window.

In the garden there is a children’s play area with swings and a slide.

The bungalow also has:

  • Bedroom 1 with double bed and sea views
  • Bedroom 2 with twin beds and vanity wash-basin
  • The bathroom has an instant electric power shower over bath, toilet and wash basin
  • A cot for a baby is available on request.

The Area

Situated in a country lane, Wideacres cottage is half a mile from Thomas Hardy’s Church at St Juliot, yet only a mile from the South West Coastal Path.

It is one and a half miles from Boscastle, which can also be reached on foot through the scenic Valency Valley, and is set in a lawned garden, which is a perfect sun-trap, Wideacres has far reaching sea and country views.

Directions to Wideacres

Jennifer or William will personally greet you on arrival and show you around the property, as long as you arrive before 7pm.

When you leave the M5 at Exeter,take A30 towards Okehampton (NOT A38 which goes towards Plymouth) and on entering Cornwall,just past signs for Launceston, turn off over a double flyover onto A395 for North Cornwall and follow this road until you approach Camelford, when you will see signs on the right for Boscastle. When you get to Boscastle follow the main road to the bottom of the village, go over the bridge, and take the Bude road from Boscastle, B3263, leaving the car-park on your right and the Cobweb Inn on your left. Go about 1½ miles then take the 2nd turning on the right into a by-road, which is signed LESNEWTH 2 ¾ .There is also a B/B sign there for Old Rectory St Juliot. Go about 200 yards and Wideacres is the 1st bungalow on the right. Please drive in and your parking is straight in from the gate, in front of the lawn. Wideacres porch door is straight ahead and is the white door with a curved top to it. Do NOT take any other signs for Lesnewth, as we are a long way from there.

This takes you to CARGURRA FARM .the entrance to there is in a very narrow lane across a field.. DO NOT go there but at Cargurra farm entrance sign, continue down the unclassified road towards STJULIOT CHURCH. After about 300 yards fork Right towards Boscastle. Wideacres is about 100 yards on the Left, just past the Wideacres Camping field entrance.
